Making a File Available Offline (Android)

Date: 8/15/2013

So let’s say that you know you are going to be meeting with a client, friend, or even going to a presentation and want to have a certain file available in multiple places just to cover yourself but you’re afraid you might not have service to access the vault on you cell. Well that is exactly why they have this function in the app that allows you to “Pin” said file and make it available even in the absence of network service.

  1. Find the file that you are wanting to keep “pinned” on to your android for offline use

  1. When you find the file, notice how there is a grayed out push pin to the left of the file

  1. In order to make the file available for offline use, simply click the grayed out push pin and it will start downloading the file to your phone to access offline and the push pin will be upright

*Your File is now available offline*

  1. Now if you want to remove the file that you made available offline, simply click the push pin again and it will return the file to its original state and the push pin will turn gray

NOTE: Depending on how big you made your cache for the app the push pin may still be blue. To correct this simply bring up the menu, select settings, and under cache, click “clear cache”
